Creating Reflective Awareness in the Learning Environment

Practice 3: Reflective Awareness in the emotionally inclusive Practices Framework includes developing the ability to consciously examine one’s thoughts, emotions, decisions, and interactions in order to foster more intentional and fair-minded actions.

Practice 4: Belonging to the Emotionally - Inclusive Practices Framework includes core priorities. The intentional practices foster strong relationships by ensuring school stakeholders feel seen, valued, respected, and represented in the community.

Prioritizes educating ourselves about our own culture and lived experiences and of the stakeholders in our learning community.

Developing a Trauma Sensitive Learning Environment 

Practice 5: Trauma Sensitive in the Emotionally-Inclusive Practices Framework includes four important priorities. These four priorities includes educating ourselves about trauma, exploring the impact trauma has on those who experience it, evaluating how a lack of trauma sensitivity might negatively impact the learning environment, and executing on strategies that allow a trauma sensitive environment to be created for those who need it.

Prioritizing Opportunity Pathways 

Practice 6: Opportunty Pathways in the Emotionally - Inclusive Practices Framework includes fore core practices. These six practices include educating ourselves about opportunity pathways, explore what educational gaps are and what causes them, evaluate the lack of pathways and how we might be address them in our schools, and execute on strategies that reduce the negative impact of those gaps and create the systems that ensure educational pathways for all.
